Our Foundation
The Back to Hope Foundation is a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering communities through the transformative power of storytelling, education, and healing. At the heart of our work is a commitment to helping other nonprofits tell their stories through powerful, purpose-driven documentary filmmaking. By visually illustrating the impact and value of these organizations, we help them gain funding, increase visibility, and foster deeper connections with their communities. Through our expert production services, we provide nonprofits with compelling visual narratives that inspire empathy, engage donors, and elevate their missions.

A key initiative of the foundation is “Catch the Vision,” a dynamic six-week summer program that teaches inner-city youth the art of documentary filmmaking. Designed for students ages 14–18, this hands-on workshop provides training in professional camera operation, lighting, audio, and editing using industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects. More than just a technical program, Catch the Vision gives teens the tools and confidence to tell their own stories, elevating their voices and unlocking their creative potential while preparing them for future careers in media and film.

The Back to Hope Mental Health Program is a cornerstone of our foundation’s commitment to holistic well-being. This initiative is designed to mentor and minister to broken hearts and lost souls, offering a safe space for emotional healing, spiritual growth, and personal transformation. Through compassionate mentorship, faith-based guidance, and community support, we help individuals rebuild their lives with purpose and hope.
In addition, the Back to Hope Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Accelerant Program is an educational initiative designed to support students in kindergarten through second grade from underserved communities. This program delivers high-quality instruction in core academic areas while nurturing a culture of confidence, critical thinking, and academic excellence. By laying a strong academic foundation, we aim to close early learning gaps and inspire lifelong success in young learners.
